Regifting is green!

Tis the season for Holiday parties, xmas shopping and SNOW!

Jenny and I resurrected our infamous white elephant gift exchange party. It was my turn to have it at our house. This also was actually our first party in our new home! We had quite the "co-op" turnout too! Nate, Eric, Stephanie, Ivan, Jenny and myself - all lived in an OSU co-op at one point in our college careers. Of course the stars of the party were all the raunchy and bad gifts given out.

Eric got a wonderful piece of wicker furniture which now resides in my bedroom. Not permanently though! Stephanie scored a delightful "porno movie starter kit". Mandy got a useful package of Depend Adult Incontinence Underwear. There was also a cute latex unicorn given out and a fun latex arm and fist. Not sure what that's all about.

Thanksgiving Fun

So this year for Thanksgiving we stayed in P-town and had Amy and Patrick over. Ben went all out with his turkey this year. He spent some time learning a few tricks from Alton Brown on youtube. He brined the turkey in a special concoction for 24 hours and then he made a delicious stock out of the neck and butt. At least I think it was the butt. Do turkeys have a butt? Also he threw caution to the wind and said "eff it" when it came to waiting for the red button to pop out on the turkey. He had learned from Alton that the turkey taste best at 151 degrees F instead of the standard 165 degrees. The best part was when we started carving into the turkey we found the bag of organs still in there!!! Ben couldn't find it and just figured our bird didn't come with the organs. So they got cooked with the turkey!


We have another turkey that will be cooked for Christmas. Hopefully we'll remember to remove the organs on that one!
